The Letter of Appointment sets out the terms and conditions of the appointment including the initial level of the initial weekly maintenance contribution which is payable every 4 weeks and is reviewed every April. Financial assistance from the local authority may be available to help pay the maintenance contribution in the same way as a rent.
The maintenance contribution includes the cost of the supply of central heating together with the maintenance of the flat and its external decoration but not the internal decoration or the cleaning of the flat.
A resident is responsible for keeping their flat clean and tidy.
The Trustees reserve the right to enter a flat to inspect its condition on giving reasonable notice and in the case of an emergency without notice. The Trustees will carry out an inspection of the condition of all the flats every year.
A specimen copy of a Letter of Appointment can be found under Policies and other documents.
In addition to the Letter of Appointment all residents are provided with a Handbook which contains further information for the benefit of residents. A copy of the Residents Handbook is to be found under Policies and other documents.
